Our Experience Julius Hart and Nick Stokes have over 50 years combined retail Optical experience. Julius Hart started Browns Bay Optics in 1985. Understating the importance of quality and providing service lead to Browns Bay Optics becoming one of the bigger optical stores on the North Shore.  OPSM purchased the business in 2003. Nick started working for Julius in 1987 and did his training at Browns Bay optics until 1992 then worked in another area of the optical industry for 2 years. 1994 Julius and Nick opened Eyewear Collection in Hamilton’s Downtown Plaza and built the business in to a well know provider of quality Eyewear. In 2002 they sold to Peter Gates a well know Auckland optician. Julius and Nick have remained in business together after having so many years working with each in successful businesses. With the development of the internet Julius and Nick decided that this was a way to provide the same level of quality and service that they had been doing for many years but to people all over New Zealand and at significantly better prices. They have been in the industry for a long time and bring a wealth of experience to Lessforspecs.
